Re: Project Manager Position
Dear [HR Director],
When writing a cover letter, in the first paragraph you should mention the employer about the reason you are writing.
You may include the name of a personal contact in common, if someone has referred you or recommend that you contact the person or company.
You can also include your college information with your current status and a sentence on why you feel you are a suitable candidate for this internship/job.
When writing a job application letter for a project manager position the second and third paragraphs gives you to the opportunity to explain to the organization/company what you’ve got to offer.
Start off by stating you’re involvement with the project management industry, and your experiences. Specify the names of contractors or corporations you’ve held positions within the industry and for define its duration.
Briefly mention your improvement in leaderships and communication skills. List some of your responsibilities and mention how it’s relevant to the work you are applying for. Providing a brief anecdote can be important to emphasize a point or a skill.
List a couple of your personal qualities that makes you stand out. Include any internship experiences, coursework certifications, language skills, volunteering, or co-curricular activities, etc. Be specific and describe to the company how you skills will suit the company’s needs.
The last paragraph will describe how and when you will follow up. It is your responsibility to follow up unless the internship/job description especially specifies no phone calls or email follow up.
If emailing your documents, follow-up is usually 24 – 48 hours; if sending documents by mail follow up is usually in one week.
Sincere regards,
